I keep singing in my falsetto :(

How can I get rid of singing in my falsetto when it gets to those high parts of a song? I want to actually be able to "belt it" for the whole song. I've done it for other songs but I can't do it for this song. I'm listening to a remake of Dead and Gone but I can't keep up. The guy can belt out the notes while if I belt it out I crack. WHAT DO I DO?

Did you try practicing those parts without the music on? Sometimes people bring their voices higher to fit the singer's voice in the song.

I'm not quite sure what you mean but I can sing it in my lower range but I can't really belt it out like that. I wanna match my voice to the artist's voice.

I used to have the problem with both my bass and high tenor ranges. Just keep practicing, it'll come with time I still sing some high parts in falsetto, but if you can do it well enough, it can sound just as good as regular.

The only way to figure out if your voice will crack is if you try. my voice cracks around a high A, and i can sing regularly down to a Dflat.

WHAT DO I DO?" This is the reason people sing different. Don't expect to be able to sing a girl's part in belt - there's a reason God made girls and guys different. YOU can sing things that most girls can't and vice versa - it's part of the trade process. I guess you could try to increase your range but I love falsetto and I wish I could do it more. Use it because a lot of people love hearing smooth notes in falsetto whereas a guy belting in an upper range is usually not the most pleasant thing. Note however, a lot of guys can do this and it's simply because their "usable range" is different. It's ok no big deal. =)

It's about a quarter of the sound compared to my regular singing voice.

Dammit but sometiems if I'm singing a straight note for a certain amount of time my voice breaks in between each millisecond. Like.. - = sound o = no sound coming out -o-o-o-o-o-o- It's not vibrato. I've heard vibrato before and I can't do it. also can people suggest Soul songs?

Don't force yourself to belt because that's very bad for your voice. We each have our own vocal ranges, so unless you get some teacher to coach you on mixing your head and chest voice..that note will probably remain in your falsetto range.
