Did i do well on my report card?

So, I live in Canada and I'm going into grade 12. In Canada (or Ontario at least), universities only look at your grade 11 and 12 marks. So far in grade 11, i got 87% average in semester 1 and 89.5% in semester 2 so it averages around 88%. Is this good? Btw, I'm Korean =[ And this isn't a troll. It just happens that I'm Korean as well. C'mon, Koreans made MapleStory jeez -.-; Idk 88% might be considered good in my school because it's a really bad school. I think getting 88% in a stupid school is better than getting 88% in a nerdy school right? 'Cuz i get peer pressured to do drugs and stuff, but i managed not to get peer pressured so ya =]

But seriously though, it is better getting 88% in a dumb school or a smart school o_o @Above, KevJumba's video wasn't that specific. Especially in my area where 80%~85% = A- 85%~90~ = A 90%+ = A+ So i'm close to A+ but really A. Like there are lots of levels of A's... My school doesn't even have many Asians...

Smart school because it's looked at higher by colleges. You'll feel stupid getting 88% in a smart school but it's still good :P

Getting 88% in a smart school is better cus you know it's harder to get a 88 there than from a bad school :O

Whether or not you're Asian, your grades are fine. I would always work to improve though.

But like in a stupid school, let's say 90% is the highest anyone got. Then wouldn't that count for something? D= EDIT: @Above, Wow, you are the wisest man i've ever heard on BasilMarket sir. I WILL WORK HARDER TO IMPROVE @@@@ @@@@ Hehe, i have been improving though =D right right? 87% in first sem and 89% in second sem... but it might be because 2nd sem had easier subjects... T~T

Honestly, its not always about grades. Its about taking the skills you learnt in school and applying it to a post secondary destination (such as university, college, apprenticeship, or workplace). You can have the highest grades in the school, and you can still fail at life if you havent learned any major lessons about your character. Besides, an 88% isnt bad. It's fine.

Excellent grades, I believe, should depict what it is that you have the greatest passion for in life, unique to you and only for you. Sure it is a great idea to be great in as many fields as possible, but where does the happiness come from other than from trophies, medals, and avoiding harsh punishment from failing to meet the high expectations?
