I'm talking about custom firmware. They have been implementing measures on new games that detect if the firmware is custom and shutdown (there are ways to bypass). They also blocked the PSP for outdated firmware, which means that cfw users can't play online anymore until someone gets around that. There are some great titles coming out and I will be really sad if I couldn't play it because of cfw (dissidia, soul calibur, gran turismo). (This is not pirate talk so it's not agaisnt the rules)

Hmm... I jus hope the... er, sea-adventurers, can stay ahead of the game. There's gotta be some room for compromise between Sony and its customers.

What if the games you play are all single-player? =P A handheld wouldn't exactly be my choice for online gaming. I prefer to leave that to the consoles.

Well there are many reasons to play online on PSP. The exclusive titles When you are not near a console/computer For kicks :P And yeah, most games are single player, but a little online is always cool. I wonder if FF Tactics WOTL is playable online :/

I'm still pretty mad that SONY shut down this awesome website where you could buy different games from around the world, way before the American versions came out. Something about selling PSP's to Europe.
