hybrid build skips a few unnecessary dk and DRK skills and focuses on both masteries and boosters and Crusher/Fury, check the warrior section for info Pros: Faster lvl'ing throughout Cons: None Copy&Paste wall of text from Quietus's not yet stickied guide: This is the biggest question facing those of you looking to create a new Dark Knight should you go hybrid, taking advantage of both polearm and spear, or pure, focussing on one only to get the style points, and to not have to spread your skills around? My opinion on this is that going hybrid is the best option, carrying straight through to fourth job on the strength of Polearm training, and only ever picking up one spear during the end-game, to use at bosses and at fourth job training areas. The reason for this being.. polearms favor large, fast-spawning mobs, and in third job, theres plenty of areas that offer this. Windraiders, Wolf Spiders, Red/Blue Kentaurus, Himes, and Typhons are just the most notable among these. A pure polearm user will be able to take full advantage of these areas, and will train much faster than a pure spear user while spending less mesos on his weapon in the process. However, the fourth job training areas available as of this guide are pretty much limited to two, possibly three areas. Himes, which is decent solo and REALLY fast exp all the way through your 9x+ levels to fourth jobs. Jr. Newtie parties, which are only fast if you have a good party, and Skelegon/Skelesaurus, which have the same limitation as Jr Newties. Theres also the map Peak of the Big Nest, featuring two flat platforms, one with skeles and one with nest golems, where the spawn is nice, but itll take two or three rushes before you have a mob of more than three. Out of all three of these areas, Himes is the fastest unless youre with a fourth job mage.. and then, the exp is only faster at skeles and jr newties because youre leeching exp from the mage in exchange for hyper body. The mobs in these areas, without massive use of Rush (which will be discussed later), rarely grow above 2-3 targets, leaving Himes as the highest level area where you can put a pure polearmers full power to use. Without good friends to party with in fourth job, pure polearmers will level much slower than pure spears or hybrids. A pure spear user experiences the opposite problem. Their experience in third job wont be BAD, but lets face it the mass-spawn maps favor polearms, which give you a great deal more experience over time than spears. Particularly at Himes, where the pure polearmer has the advantage of range and targets, spear users are at a disadvantage; its much harder to grab and keep a mob with spears, when the mob is 8-10 targets large. This changes slightly depending on mobbing methods, but that will be discussed later. The true advantage of the pure spear user, however, will shine when you begin fighting bosses, and when you move on to skele parties your higher damage on 1-3 targets will quickly

Chinese Wall of Text @ first post. Let's say you are mainly spearmen. You take points off Spear FA, Spear Booster (some points) and stuff like that to put in PA mastery and booster. Stuff like that.

Hybrid is ultimately the better option. But if you wanted better, you wouldn't make a DrK in the first place.
