Alright so right now, MS is getting pretty boring o.o (Yep, I'm just going to throw that out there right now) Okay, I know for me 3rd job is getting pretty close, and I'm getting excited. But at the same time, training/grinding and pqing just doesn't seem that fun anymore... For many of you out there, grinding and pqing doesn't seem like a problem, but is it really worth spending hours and hours a day getting a level up? O.O An example: "You have played Maplestory for 5 hour(s). We suggest you take a break from Mapling" Wow..... I don't mean to offend any of you people reading this, but is maplestory getting repetitive to any of you out there? Yay, I killed a monster. Yay, I get exp. Yay, I lvled up. It just seems to be getting kind of pointless... I know by the time I post this thread, many of you maplers will be posting flame comments about this thread. Lvl 10x's and maybe even lvl 200's will probably be cursing me off. I don't care. Maybe its just me, but if this is how you think of maplestory is right now, you might want to find a different hobby o.o IMO the only good things about MS is you get to talk with people and goof off. =/ EDIT: I'm not quitting as of now, I'm going to follow some ideas people gave me, like grinding with friends, and see how they work out

In reality, all games are repetitive, it's just how good they are that makes the people play them. Shooter games: Yay I got a gun, yay I shot them, yay they died!. RPG: Kill monster > EXP > Level up. It's just a matter of preference. IMO a lot of things in life or maybe all things in life are repetitive. You do basically the same thing everyday (See people, go mall, play computer, watch games, buy something..). You could try grinding for half an hour, goof off, and grind again..

Yep. Don't worry, you'll come back eventually. I know I did. It's just a game man, it doesn't matter unless it messes with your academic and social life.

I find Maplestory fun because of the people that are online. My guildmates, buddies and friends I meet all on Maple are all nice people that make me want to go on Maple. It's less about the levels for me and more about interaction for me.

Because all there is to do in Maple is level, right? Besides, it's not even that boring to grind if you actually have a fun class.

I don't find it as fun anymore. So I play for WAYY less. About 30 minutes a day just for spare time.

Man, maplestory was once a fun, sociable, easy-going community. Now it's just filled with a bunch of zombies and henehores and damage freaks. It was a nice gaming environment but now Nexon just ruined it for everybody that loved it. Some people are still committed to it but i just had to leave. I'm probably contradicting myself by being on basil, but i just still can't get away from it. I still like to keep in touch in what's going on, through basil. So far, it doesn't sound pleasant at all, so i don't plan on coming back. Still, this community has somewhat of a release-of-boredom hold on me, but i don't mind. Atleast i'm not wasting hours and hours on doing something that is completely unbeneficial.
