Help with Visa Debit Card!

I just realized i had a 50$ wal-Mart gift card/visa Debit card. I wanted to buy mesos off a meso site. So i signed the card up for paypal. When i go to checkout at the website it says this card cannot be used for transaction.. any1 know a way i can use this card? Do you know if i will have to wait a day or so to let the transaction go through?

I think it needs to be a visa credit card or gift card, not a visa debit. I dunno if there's a difference though.

It needs to be a debit or credit, a gift card works like a debit card so in theory it should work
