Donating moments before SC?

Anyone noticed the wall of blue text from people Donating in cities all over the maple world? What was that all about? I know it happened in bellocan, but anywhere else? Can someone explain that?

Every month the donation thing clears so yea...everyone wanted the medal

Are you asking what it is? Meh, along with .73 an NPC came along which awards medals for completing various tasks. One task is to donate the most to a certain town, and people were competing against each other. Whenever someone had the most donated, a blue line of text appeared to everyone. There's 5 other tasks, however some are glitched (they expire after a few hours of loggin off). Which leads to the SC right now where they hopfully will get patched and obtainable. Note: Only donate if you really need it. Every month the donations reset and the donation medals expire.

Dude. People are stupid. There are a lot of poor people out there.. Why give your money to nowhere when you could just give em to some nub or buy stuff? I wish that everything that went into the donation box went to the community....

Lol actually, it's a very clever idea on Nexon's part. Meso sellers are getting worse and worse as time progresses, and little kids with their parent's money are going and buying mesos so they can play a game with anything they want, so they dont have to play competitively or legitimately. This way, Nexon appeals to the general damage whores that are our MS community, and has everyone spending millions of mesos to get a few stat points. Very clever, I'm actually happy with Nexon for once in a long time.

They made the donation box so people donate a lot of money, then the mapler who realized that they put too much money in will want to buy nx cash and merchant with it.
