Read the manga, think it's okay. I basically only read it for the side characters, since they're a heck of a lot more interesting than Ichigo.

Anime films are way better than series.

I've been reading the manga (my preference) and while it's basically "SUPERPOWER OF THE WEEK" chapter after chapter, the action's great and that's all i can really expect from a shonen that's lasted this long.
