Spear Vs. Polearm

Whats better with equal weapon attack? A impaler (maple spear) or a scorpio (maple polearm)? The spear is fast but the pole arm has the 3/2 slash to stab advantage. I was thinking spear sincei could get a godly one and i will be mostly mobbing so the fast speed would really help. I will be using this weapon mostly at CPQ. I am going hybrid.

use pa until u have a decent lvl crusher that way, u can own lower accent with a maple karstan

Either way, you're going to be training effectivly, and efficient. just think of it this way! 7 monsters, 1 time. 3 monsters, 3 times, and then you kill those in 1-2 hits, catching up to the PA. it's a matter of what you like more.

Wow, so many unrelated, and false answers. In the end the Scorpio would win, not only because of the higher damage of the slash:stab ratio, but also because you have a longer range when slashing. The fast speed doesn't really matter in CPQ because you will be mostly 3, 2, or 1 hit killing the monsters there.

Yes i found that out too, i got fed up about all the stupid answers so i did some math. Range at lvl 43 = 1281~429 Spear 2highs+3lows/5 = 768.8 x (fast5)90h/m= 69192 DPM before skills Pole Arm 3highs+2lows/5 = 940.2 (normal6)82h/m = 77096.4 DPM before skills I guess im going pole arm.
