I think Nexon needs to improve the game vocabulary.

In game text can span from NPC dialog to skill descriptions. Why is the vocabulary difficulty important? Already a fun game, MapleStory could have the ability to force the user to cooperate with highschool and college level vocabulary. What does this mean for Nexon's target audience? As a psychologist I can tell you that it is unwise to underestimate the ability for a pre-teenager to learn. Generation after generation, children have proven themselves to succeed beyond their caretakers or parents. This learning curve that newer generations hold should be taken advantage of. Children and teenagers do have the ability to acquire an extensive vocabulary which obviously correlates with the success of their academic careers. If you feel that Nexon could do a better job engaging the users with higher level vocabulary PLEASE SPEAK UP.

Many years and years, kids have shown us that they are better than the people taking care of them. Kids learning like this shows that we need to put it to better use. Kids and teens have a skill to learn big words and huge vocabulary words which makes it better for their jobs they want to be. If you feel that Nexon could do a better job on making their players learn big vocabulary words then SPEAK UP.

I do agree and I do think nexon should try and clean up their own act but they cannot control the language of the players while using slang or mixed words. All we can do is have the more articulate players try and not sucum to the horrible speech of the others and hope they can set a good example.

This game is rated G. I'm pretty sure that they want to rake as much money as they can from little kids who beg their parents to give them money for nx. So if a 9 year old decides to talk to an NPC and ends up confusing him, he'd probably quit right there. If this game was rated for kids 13 and older, they would probably not have a filter for cursing.

reading these responses makes me feel hopeful! people want to learn even if they do not want to admit it. Addressing large companies to clean up their act is only the first step.

The least nexon can do is to fix their grammar a bit in NPC dialog, skill description, etc. Juliet npc says "Why? Why nobody understand me?" but should be fixed to "Why? Why does nobody understand me?"
