ST, is it worth it?

Alright, so I'm a 7x WK and I've been wondering whether or not I should get the dex required for ST. My base dex is 20 with my equips, I have 68. List of Equips: Average Zhelm 18dex 4 str 10 acc Dark Crusader Chainmail Deputy Star 11 acc RSS 10 dex earrings Clean PAC Would it be worth the trouble of getting the dex from raising base and/or getting equipments? I have approximately 70m, all of it going towards the dex items. As for the ST, I have already scrolled a decent one. If I am to improve my equipments, what should I get?

Having higher doesnt bother me, Im 82 base, Never got in the way of training, I keep up with most of my dexless warrior friends just fine. If you want to use the ST go ahead and add some more dex, just drop the dex equips and pour more into STR equips. At 82 base, Im fine with a clean avg zhelm and some acc shoes. Basically, If you wanna use a ST go for it. If you dont mind not being able too (Easily~ You can probably get the dex with Insane godly equips), Stay as you are. Do whatever you wanna do, The game is for YOU to play.

As you are right now... Nope. I'd recommend at least a minimum base Dex of 40 if you shoot for an ST. Trying to get anything above 80 Dex out of your equips is possible, but highly improbable and bound to cause some frustration. You'll want to get a good pair of Dex shoes, a better overall, and a Dex PAC, and possibly some scrolling onto your Zhelm. If an ST is worth it or not, I would personally say it is. As a Paladin, we don't get as many advantages as Heroes do going 1H, so the ST is a nice option for us because it gives us some speed, but also the advantage of a higher multiplier as well. (Please don't turn this into another 1H Hero VS Paladin comparison thread pl0x.) As for actual equips, here is what I've done to get my 120 Dex. Base: 40 Zhelm: 16 Pendant: 6 Earring: 8 Top: 7 Bottom: 15 Cape: 12 Glove: 1 Shoes: 15 Before I had my top/bottom set, I had a 22 Dex overall, and before that I had a 20 Dex overall and I had to wear 2 aura rings. I have no idea what the total cost of my set up is, but it wasn't cheap... So with your 70m, I don't think you'll be able to seriously consider an ST unless you wanted to do 60 base Dex or merchant more money. I would say you oughta go and get an NRW, but seeing as you've already got a decent ST, it might be a waste to.

right now im dexless and have 75 dex. im switching to a stonetooth when i get around 120 when i can get a egged HT necklace.

I'd say yes if you can afford the dex equipment... Since It should be a lot cheaper than a 1h sword + shield combo, and in most occasions it'd be stronger unless you're that insanely rich

Uh, Im 75 dex with +54 from equips, and it cost me almost 300M in stuff. But I'm in khaini, our FM merchants are retarded...

And you also need to consider that since 4/5 classes use dex, itll be expensive as hell to get 116 dex from equips

(+3) -...that's it, actually. He's pretty much optimal. -If shoes are hard to find/buy, attempt to create your own by landing 30%'s on the last dex warrior shoe; Green crescents. They come with 4 dex clean, 5 slots. That's basically a free 30% and 60% landed for you, and 5 slots remaining; i.e. I consider it easier to make these into highdex shoes than RSS. 15 dex = 3x30+2x60 = 0.972% chance to create, vs RSS, which are 4x30+3x60 = 0.17496% chance to create. Its 5.5x easier to make them out of crescents.

I've put a bit of thought into +100 dex for my hermit, it's pretty expensive and I believe it breaks down like this: 30 dex Zakum Helmet ~ 300-400mil? I dunno exactly 6 dex face+eye+medal (3+1+2 for most people) ~ 150-200m 11 dex earring ~ 150m 28 dex overall ~ depends how much STR.. 200+m 10 dex shoes ~ cost me 60m 5 dex MoN ~ free 10 dex PAC ~ 100m Since Warrior shoes add more dex, you could probably bump that to 12-13, and take off a little pressure for the overall. And if you could find a well scrolled Red Emperor (4 dex) that would help too. When we get Item Maker it'll be a lot easier, but still expensive. You can add 5 dex to any equip, meaning an extra 5 from clean top, bottom, glove, and shoes, if you use warrior gear. But it costs like 70m for the 5 dex.

HT Necklace Egged has about 23 strI believe? That amount of str = about 4 att. So which is better, 10att or an 4 att? Really, you could just get a really good NRW with all the money you save from not getting an Egged HT Necklace. MoN's give accuracy too.
