Okay, so I don't know which Pirate class I should continue between the Brawler and Gunslinger. My Gunslinger is currently level 44 and my Brawler when Pirates were first released got to level 41 then I deleted for some reason. Then I made one just about a month ago, got it to level 35 and stopped it. After watching various videos on Youtube I am still unable to make my decision this is why I am leaving it all entirely on how well they train. Yes training speed. Although I might not be able to make it to fourth job I still would like to know which is more beneficial. I made this Gunslinger for the fun of Wings and Recoil Shot, I just love how they are pretty versatile and they can be one of the best bossers when it comes to bossing. There is something which is pulling me back from making a Brawler though. People say it gets pretty boring in third job before you get all your skills maxed out and whatnot whereas Gunslingers have to go through the hardest levels of their lifetime and finally get awesome skills in third job :D So, what I would like to know is which you guys personally find much more enjoyable and which has the leveling capability during third job and maybe fourth job. AS WELL AS which will not cost a lot of mesos to fund it well. Thank you for your help!

megabob10 said: " Sairs still kick your NL ass in DPM soloing without the boat." Considering DPM is pretty much all Corsairs got on other classes, it's quite a fall from 1st to 5th place. NLs still have avoid, mobility, pot saving/boosting,mesos earning, and exp raising skills to make up for lower solo DPM. A Corsair with a broken ship doesn't have much (if really anything) on any other class outside of DPM. "DPM Ain't Everythin'!" ftw. xD Edit: I know Corsairs probably have some non-DPM-related benefits, but to me, DPM seems to be the only advantage ever really mentioned. xD

When it comes to 1v1 Outlaws are on par with Hermits depending on the situation. And I think people are misinformed with Outlaws they're not instantly good when they make the advancement. They don't get good till they have a decent level of Burst Fire.

Since reaching 13x I've been able to more or less mop the floor with most other classes including Brawlers. Also with the Time Temples release, it makes for very easy training as a Corsair. Also, like I said "most classes" not all. xP Heros and AM/Bishops own Corsairs in training. o.x Considering DPM is pretty much all Corsairs got on other classes, it's quite a fall from 1st to 5th place. Yeah im gonna have to say brawlers are better. Higher damage and pretty nice combos when everything is maxed. Looks cool too. Only downside is from 1-70 you have horrible acc.

When we un-mount which takes less than a second our Dash-Wings-Recoil combo makes for very easy moving around. Along with both Freezing and Stun skills, monsters dont have a chance at touching us." Bosses don't Stun/Freeze, so you'll definitely start paying pots there and other classes use no time at all to access their mobility skills. xD

Mounting/Unmounting takes literally a half a second. It doesnt slow us down enough for it to even matter.

Slingers are just repeated single button mashing. Brawlers take more skill to use effectively. Unlike other classes if you dont have a brawler you won't know how to use him. I will admit 3rd job has been trouble for me. You don't get any new attacks to use on a consistant basis. And the only buff you will have is booster and then speed infusion in 4th, which is like... More booster... The lacking buffs can be seen as either a pro or con (less time to cast). Brawlers=FUN/fastest mele class in game (correct me if I'm wrong)

We got several skils which i use pretty often such as burst fire, icesplitter, Gaviota, Octo, and fake shot(stun). Not to mention recoil shot to help me move around and inv. shot for mobs. Edit: i forgot to mention grenade for lure! ^.^

During a training session I use a wide variety of skills, more than most classes ever will. Burst Fire/RF during an unmount, Freeze, Fake Shot,Bomb, Ariel Strike, Octo, Wings/Recoil/Dash combo's. Battle Ship Cannon and Torpedo, along with the numerous mounting and un-mountings to gain full mobility or immobilize my enemy's.

I've been dealing massive amounts of damage before and after third. Like I notice the damage difference between my assassin and my brawler. With double Uppercut I could do up to 11k - 12k Damage [7X] Double Uppercut 5k-7k Damage [6X]

this thread turned into a brawler vs corsair thread. ill just lay out the facts Brawler extremely fast training from first to third job suffers a bit at cpq at first due to lack of acc. great dmg Corsair extremely low dmg from first till 3rd job training wise, brawlers are faster more mobility than brawler , with wings and recoil. dmg gets better in 3rd job , dmg wise out dmg all classes by 4th job. btw let me defend us brawlers a bit , since i am a brawler myself ikillerbarney said: "Brawlers own in 2nd job but aren't as good in 3rd job Slingers suck really bad in 2nd job and can be compete to any class in 3rd job but in 4th job they have the highest DPM." are u kidding? we have the best 3rd job skill. its so good its almost broken.

You're reading the wrong threads and talking to the wrong people. Sure NLs have high avoid, but they take many more hits while training. Corsairs with good control take few if any hits at all, so they don't need the avoid as much. They also have a huge-ranged map-mobbing skill, and Torsomething, for use in the Battleship, which does amazing mob damage. They also get elemental mobs in 3rd job, as well as Octo, a useful summon. Not to mention Bullseye, and that very fun looking skill, Hypnotize.
