Wow thanks for all your great comments in the previous thread Here is a rough plan I have come up with Already having Max ae, 1 strafe, 3 puppet, 1 blizz, 5 mb and being at lvl 83: 84: 3 Puppet (6) 85: 2 Strafe (3) 1 Eagle (1) 86-98: 2 Strafe (29),1 Puppet (19) 99: 1 Strafe (Max), 1 Puppet (Max), 1 Eagle (2) 100-108: 2 Eagle (20), 1 Blizzard (10) 109-111: 3 Blizzard (19) 112: 2 Blizzard (21), 1 Thrust (1) 113-115: 3 Thrust (10) 116-120: 3 MB (Max) Ending with: Max Strafe, Max Ae, Max Puppet, Max MB, 20 Eagle, 10 Thrust and 21 Blizzard What do you think? And is exp good at typhoons all the way to 120, or will i change to newties or something at 1xx and therefore need to change my build? Thanks again for your comments. EDIT: Having read your comments here is my edited build: 84: 3 Puppet (6) 85: 2 Strafe (3) 1 Eagle (1) 86,88,90,92,94,96,98: 2 Strafe ,1 Puppet 87,89,91,93,95,97: 2 Strafe ,1 Eagle So after that alternation: 26 Strafe (29), 7 Puppet (13) and 6 Eagle (7). ------------------------------------------- That was the main change to the build. If you're going to max Puppet so early, you should max it before Strafe so it can help you more at Typhons. Everything else looks okay though.

You should probably start a build transitioning to newties around 105-110, since that is when typhons loses its incredible exp/hr. It's still possible to train there (at typhons) until 120, but the pot burn at newties is much less and you get similar exp/hr in a newt party. You should get 15-20 eagle and maxed strafe before 105. I personally never saw a use for puppet at lower levels, or even now there is hardly a use since I'm not strong enough to take on most bosses now. Puppet was one of the last skills I maxed because by the time I had enough points to get a decent puppet, I had moved on to newties. However, if you find puppet to be useful at typhons or wherever you happen to be training, by all means max it when you see fit.

I trained at typhons till 128 still getting at least 10% an hour. That being said by the end of 3rd job you'll be able to train at newts too and you should start getting used to it. On topic I agree with what spirit said, get puppet before strafe. Typhons are just that good that you can save strafe for later.

OK so i edited the my build (please see above). Is this edit making me able to start newties around 105 (assuming its better exp than typhoons). i am still maxing strafe soon, but building up eagle and puppet at a slow consistent rate, so at 105 i have all my eagle and maxed strafe? Thnx again =]... for ur comments

Really, really don't. Strafe is pretty useless at typhons if you're lvl 83, you have 22 levels left before trying newts and they will only be better experience if you can find a few people to party with. Typhons will always be better solo. if you immediately max puppet that'll take ~6 levels then you can max strafe in the next 10 levels and with your left over 6 levels you can get 18 eagle which is enough to newt. You really won't regret getting puppet earlier I promise you (unless you plan on bossing before level 89).

2 Strafe and 1 Puppet per level is a very bad way to add SP. Puppet is best added in groups of threes.

Puppet isn't necessary at Typhoons, you can do without it. And no, I started typhoons at lvl 78 with 11 AR

I have decided to abandon my over-complex builds and instead I will max puppet first, then strafe, then take eagle to 20. At this point I will be around 105 and have the option of newties avaliable to me. After that I'll get blizzard to 21 and finish up with thrust and max mb. Will this not be simple and effective?
