Well i've seen a thread asking why are you a warrior. Which , made me wonder why are you a pirate? if your a brawler explain why, same deal with gunslingers

To be honest, I'd never done a melee character before, having been mostly intrigued by Clerics, Bowman and Assassins in the time I've played Maple. I've always wanted to try a good melee character, but none of the Warriors really caught my eye. When Pirates came out, there was the initial "OMG SHINY" reaction, which got me to try out a Gunslinger (since I had always played ranged characters before). I got my Gunslinger into the mid 3x range, mostly thanks to Party Quests, and saw just how awesome Brawlers were in the Monster Carnival Party Quest. Having found myself frustrated with all my characters (6x Cleric, 4x Ice-Lightning, 3x Bowman, 3x Assassin, and 3x Gunslinger), I decided to go for broke. So I stripped most of my characters bare, got some starting equips for a Brawler (8 attack Work Glove, 13 Dex Blue Sauna Robe, and a Pumpkin Spear whose stats I have forgotten), and went to town. I have to say, I immediately fell in love. I used non-Knuckler weapons right from the start, and kept my Pumpkin Spear (it gave my better attack and accuracy, which I needed being low Dex) until I maxed out Corkscrew Blow. It's been nothing but fun since then, and I still love my Marauder. Level 94 and counting, hoping to hit fourth job sometime soon.

Awesome with bosses... i dont need a party to have a good boss run and i like ranged classes~~ (I also have a bishop and man... is the most boring thing ever i dont see why people are so proud of being lvl 200 Bishop/Arch mage really)

We get to sail ships, raid towns, shoot people, burn towns down, get many wenches, drink all the wine/alcoholic beverages you want, party all day and night, etc. What more could you want?

Because they're fun, unique, ranged (I prefer ranged over melee XD), deal good damage but aren't boring and have awesome skills such as recoil and battleship. Good enough?
