| So everyone thinks hybrids are clean cars. What your forgetting is, It RUNS ON ELECTRICITY. How is our electricity made.... BURNING COAL, How can Hybrids be cleaner if were still burning stuff for electricity. To make the electricity is equal to burning gas in a reqular car. Dont buy hybrids UNTIL we have found a way to make clean elcetricity. |

| You forget that hybrids use both gas and electricity. They dont rely completely on electricity. This means that they still pollute. Hence the name, "hybrid". And electricity isnt all made from buring coal. You can use renewable energy and transfer it to a battery. |

Hybrids are deemed cleaner because it's more efficient than a regular car that runs on gasoline. |

| Incorrect, hybrids can switch between the two energy sources to create most efficient use of it. Basically if a hybrid is on idle it won't burn up as much energy and of course there are much more other concepts to these hybrids that have been implemented. |

| Hybrid cars charge electricity while they aren't moving. They also use electricity when starting up the car, where the car actually uses 90% of the gas/fuel for a average 15 minute car drive. When they use electricity in the start-up period, they are 10x more efficient. |

| Maven5 said: " Yes there is, solar powered cars..." Solar cells die out in time and after they're dead it's extremely difficult to destroy them, so all in all solar cars are inefficient (makes extremely little energy) and once dead pose a big problem. |

Why would you destroy them, just reuse/recycle them... Make like soda cans out of them, I don't care |
