NLs vs Corsairs? An end to it all.

NLs throw 90 TTs a minute Corsairs shoot 100 cannons a minute Corsairs shoot 500 shots a minute, rapid fire. 90 attacks a minute. TT does 450% plus 150% from SP, thats 600% each attack. 90x600 = 54000% a minute. That 54,000% of damage. From TT+SP. 100 attacks a minute. cannon does 1520% each attack. More damage AND more attacks a minute, even with less projecticles, do i even need to calculate the total percent? I will just for the overkill. 100x1520= 152,000% a minute. Thats 2.81x more damage than a NL per minute. Out of the ship, 90 attacks a minute from TT does 54,000. A corsairs rapid fire does 170% at 500 shots a minute. 170x500=85,000% of damage a minute. 1.57x more damage than a NLs attack. Not as overkill as the ship, but corsairs win in and out. Don't forget that they have better mobbing, equal mobility, and more power? They are obviously the #1 class for a dedicated dmg hoar. Factoring in critical, it will add 100% 50% percent of the time, averaging at 50% damage added at any given time. Thats 81,000% with critical, based on the formulas. Corsairs STILL win, even though rapid fire is a marginal win. The only way that a NL can damage more is with SE. Actually, lets see. Maxed SE adds 40% crit 15% of the time. Thats only a 6% addition to every attack, based on the formula. that adds 3240% a minute, still no victory... Be realistic. if the NL has SE they are probably bossing and the corsair will probably have it too. I don't know how the W.Att and stats add up to the damage range, so i can't add ranges...

o_O Ok but remember that most people wont bother getting a slinger to a Corsair cuz of their weak damage(until Outlaw )

No one is arguing that NL > Corsair in dpm o.0 corsairs are not for impatient damage hoars because 1st+2nd job are weak

They are kind of weak 1st and 2nd, and outlaw is when they really step it up. EDIT: Above, so your saying Corsairs are weak? I just ran the numbers. 1st and 2nd job don't matter, getting to 70 is easy. Outlaws are on par with Hermits, probably better, and then Corsairs are better as i've just proven. I don't care about Slinger and Pirate and Outlaw. im talking about Corsairs.

Yea Outlaw is awesome! I hated training on my Gunslinger but when I got to Outlaw it was soo much fun! ^^

If Corsairs are stronger at all, the difference is minuscule at best and Night Lords have other advantages, such as extremely high Avoid with Shadow Shifter and better mobility with Flash Jump. The difference in damage also depends on what type of boss it is and the level of the Corsair due to the ships HP.

No, you only talk in %'s now, you do NOT state the base attack they attack with. State that too, get it into your calculations, and you have a good comparision. Just do it with only the avg lvl 100 weapon, and with a perfect lvl 100 weapon, onyx apple, all w.atk. equips and more. Then, people will start to believe you.
