Hi all, I am at the early stages of typhoon training in cwk and need some help with my Skill Build. At lvl 83, i have just maxed AE. To my knowledge, that is the only requirement for training at typhoons, correct me if im wrong. Now i dont know what to put my future points into. I want to finish 3rd job with: Max Ae,Stafe,Puppet,MB, 21 blizzard, 20/21 Eagle and 9/10 thrust. (Still not sure about that last point into Eagle or thrust). At the moment (lvl 83), i have 1 strafe, 1 blizz, max ae, 3 puppet and 5 mb. What should i put my next points into? Thanks SO much for your comments. PS. ANything that makes typhoons more exp efficient is a priority =] tyyyyyyy

so you suggest: 1stafe 1 eagle 1 puppet per level, and lets say (puppet will already start at lvl 6) after 10 lvls, when puppet is 16, strafe 11 and eagle 10, then i can use puppet cos it lasts long enough for me to kill?

Off topic: Would rangers use inferno to lure? o.o On topic: Not sure at the above, but I never liked splitting points between skills.

I sometimes use inferno to lure, but mostly when i go around the map i differ between inferno/ar for luring. I would suggest comboing strafe+puppet and just do eagle later.

@ above: Yeah ive never split skills either, but because they all seem irelevant to my training im thinking it doesnt matter. Off topic: yes rangers tend to use lvl 1 inferno. However i dont no if they use it a typhoons.

(Sarcasm) Thrust will only screw up jumping if you don't know how to turn around in the middle of a jump so you don't go too far. Mortal Blow may not be used often, but it will be used. Arrow Eruption sucks on single monsters. You can't use Strafe (or Dragon's Breath) when a monster is right on top of you. arsenalchamp said: "the 4th job birds will make the 3rd job birds useless after they are a certain level too because you need only 15 points in the 3rd job birds to be able to get the 4th job birds. 21strafe is very good so i would get it to 21 and then get some eagle to 20 or 21 up to you." Only for Snipers. Bow Masters still have to rely on Silver Hawk. Phoenix doesn't stun.

MB is still used in 4th job, it is still useful, because it fires an attack that does a nice amount of DMG if something spawns on or near you. And how the heck you get thrust screws you up? It helps you! And explain where else we can put our points that is useful? To TS- Max strafe now, then lv21 hawk, then lv11 bliz or max puppet, then lv21 bliz (after maxed puppet), then 10 thrust then the rest into MB.

Thrust - This is a last priority. If you have any extra extra leftover skillpoints that you feel you won't need to use on other skills, use them on thrust. Then again, it is nice to move around the typhon map quicker. Puppet - I used puppet to save HP pots at typhons. MB - This is a useful skill as it can kb monsters with high kb rates. HOWEVER, if you are seriously going to typhon, mb would actually slow you down. Regular xbow whacking is much better at monsters that can be kb'd whether you do damage or not, since you can kb them away letting you use strafe. Blizzard - Only good for typhons for luring, but you will want to invest in 3 second freezing. Very useful. Eagle - I recommend it at level 15, but you can max it for leave it at 21 if you like. This won't be needed at typhons.

Typhon not Typhoon

I'm not too great about Sniper builds, but me, being a Ranger, would go Strafe~>Eagle~>Puppet. Or Puppet before Eagle if you plan using it at Typhons. Again, this is what I would do based on my knowledge as a Ranger. I might be wrong about it. And yes, AR/E Is pretty much the only thing you need to train at Typhons, besides pots, of course.

To be honest, when I trained at Typhons*, I didn't use Inferno/Bliz once. I didn't even bother to raise it, my inferno's at 0. I'd say next max Strafe, then work your way to Hawk, and finally Puppet. Later do MB/Thrust. BTW, at 9x, I started training at Newties, which requires Hawk for best EXP.

Obviously you didn't use it if you only have 0. If you had 1 point in it, maybe you would've used it.

Guess I'll max strafe, then hawk and puppet? Is MAX Arrow Rain and Level 6 Puppet good enough for Typhons?
