Hi. I'm currently using a 113 atk 8 str Stonetooth, but I was wondering if I should get this 120 atk 7 str Dragon Claymore for 70mil. Does the speed make up for that 7 atk disparity?

ST would win, especially if you train with rage or any sort of att equips, i.e. gloves, cape So easy to see i couldnt be bothered to do any calcs dont listen to the pirate above me, he's lost and confused

the speed difference might be a little too much for claymore

I would say No, Its really your choice of choosing speed over Damage which many people strive for to have high damage. On the good side that Claymore seems pretty cheap and you will hit more of course. I have had both equips but Claymore with + 2 atk difference and honestly i dont see a difference.

it would take like a 124 att dragon claymore to beat the ST's DPM..

So in terms of efficiency, I should stick by my Stonetooth. I'm not quite sure what you guys are saying about factoring attack from rage and my equips. If my PAC is 2 attack and glove is 8 along with a MoN, what does this mean?

The speed makes up for the 7 attack easily, but first keep in mind also whether you can transfer some equips away from dex and to strength (this could compensate a few more attack possibly), and also consider what you could get out of a 1h or NRW setup as well. I'm not sure what NRWs cost now relative to Ribgols. The sole exception is with SI. If you had a constantly partied Pirate job with SI then the speed advantage is gone and Claymore would universally win. But I doubt there are enough 4th job pirates for you to always or even frequently have one partied.
