I just got a virus from this site.

Basil did not give you a virus. That trojan is from a .cn site which is canada which basil is not. this is what my unexpertise tells me

Oh my bad, it's from a chinese site. And it is a trojan, meaning that it will suck information off your computer and send it to strangers. Run your antivirus and it should take care of it.

Could someone ascertain whether or not it's a keylogger? Any type of info stealer at all? Just find the nature of it and I am grateful. Thanks in advance.

A trojan sends information to random people. An example would be on MSN, if you have a friend who has a trojan, they would send you random sites, when it's their virus sending you that site.

Guys, I corrected myself in a later post, and even if basil is hosted in canada, its url doesn't contain ".ca" so that's a worthless point to make. And FurFarm, trojans are "info stealers". Yes it is dangerous and yes it will slow down your computer and steal your bandwidth. Get rid of it immediately.
