Michael Jackson was perhaps one of the strangest individuals ever covered by the media. He was a very misguided and troubled individual. Many people blame this on his childhood, or lack thereof. The facts? Michael Jackson may have had a rough start, but he didn't have it nearly as bad as some other people who have turned out just fine. This is why there are so many mixed emotions about the man. Yes, he was odd. Yes, he had a face later in life that was/is very hard to look at. Yes, his life was a circus. All that aside, Michael Jackson was, in my opinion and in the opinion of millions/billions, the most talented individual ever to grace the world with his music and dancing capabilities. His death is sure to leave a heavy, heavy scar on the lives of those who grew up with him, me included. I'm not the person who cries over matters like this, but I am certainly troubled by his death. With fame, comes controversy, and Michael sure as hell raised up a great deal of that with his history of plastic surgery and molestation trials. There is no doubt Michael had physical alterations, but Michael was, in fact, never been found guilty of child abuse/molestation. Does this mean he hasn't? Certainly not. To this day, I have no clue whether he has or hasn't. I'd like to think he didn't, but seeing as how abnormal he was, if I learn that he has abused children, namely young boys, I wouldn't be surprised. My view of his music and dancing wouldn't change, no matter what he did. The brightest flame has just been extinguished. This is the day the music died, the day the dancing has ceased. RIP Michael Jackson. With you, you take the greatest musical and choreographical influence. You are forever, the King of not just pop, but music. Michael Jackson's music was the first music I've ever heard. To remember him, I've posted videos to some of his songs. I still vividly remember dancing along to Thriller, Black and White, Remember the Time, Smooth Criminal, and many others. His music videos are nothing short of phenomenal. He put every ounce of himself into each of them, which is why most of them are close to 10 minutes in length. I had to come back and pay my respects. Dangerous was the first CD I ever purchased back in '91. It seems like he provided the soundtrack to my life, he was there with me for nearly every major event in my life in one form or another. We didn't just loose the King of Pop, we lost a remarkable humanitarian and an inspiration to millions if not billions of people around the world. May you at last find peace Michael. Michael Jackson is my favorite artist of all time. I listened to his music for as long as I could remember. I can't believe such a talented, kind, and gifted individual is gone.

For me, Michael Jackson was like a link to my childhood. Like, everyone has these links to their childhood, whether it be music, their favourite teddy bear or their home. And once those links get cut off, one by one, you kinda lose your childhood. I guess I'm lucky to be just old enough to fall into that category, lol.
