Your computer running slow?(vista)

hey i discovered a lil thing that increases your computers performance by ALOT for vista users home edition(might be on other editions as well, i dont know) but go to Control PanelSystem and MaintenancePower Options there youll see 3 options balanced power saver high performance the default is balanced so click on high performance then click change plan settings then set up it up so both turn off display and put computer to sleep are never then click ok then your done i found this made my computers performance sooo much quicker then what it use to be please dont flame if you already knew this..

screw the environment i run my computer off SOLAR POWA! POWA! not really tho but if it makes you feel better you can easily put your computer to sleep by going to start then the the arrow then click sleep :S you just have to do it manually instead of it automatically putting it to sleep in X amount of minutes and also you can turn off your monitor when not on the computer thats what i do

Would this perhaps explain why I suddenly started lagging in FM entrance channel 1? I never lagged there before cuz I got a brand new comp with vista.

My Vista runs faster than both my XP laptops, I never understood why people complain bout it.

It's probably because you have more processes running in the background (unless it's latency lag, then it's because of your connection) Or your Vista computer came with a really poor GPU.

You can't compare two different things and act like nobody can notice the hardware difference. Also, NT Kernel+useless garbage like aero = fail
