Keyboard Problems

Hi, I have keyboard problems that might be directly related to MS. Ok..So when I keep pressing the basic attack, jump, and etc buttons related to MS (mainly shift, alt, and enter), my keyboard will suddenly stop typing. The thing is, I can still use in-game key functions, but I can't chat with other people. I can still use the basic MS keys like attacking and jumping though, but when I press enter, my MS will automatically go to window mode from full screen and vice-versa. When I go to anything else from MS (like Firefox), I can't type or use keyboard functions. To undo this though, I press shift, ctrl, alt, and enter buttons simultaneously on both sides of the keyboard, but I don't know the exact combination of keys to udno it (if any). Can anyone help me with this problem? And by the way, my sticky/toggling keys are turned off if that matters. Sorry for the repetition. Any help is appreciated, thanks. iTzRich said: "This is the answer. Just keep hitting both of your alt buttons for a couple seconds. Works everytime." This may be the solution, another thing is, after doing those steps: Press both alt keys at the same time for 3 times (this was another tip from another basiler).

May be the drivers are messed up. Go to Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager and check.

It seems to be working properly when this happens. I just think it's some kind of combination of key strokes that disables functions with my keyboard. =/

Somemtimes dust gets clogged up within the USB connector, try unplugging it, then give it a nice blow and dont spit TOO much into it

Mmk, I'll try to do that although I honestly don't think that'll be the solution to my problem. Edit@Above: But would that really have any relation to my keyboard problem? Because it's working fine at the start, but messes up after shift, alt, and enter keystrokes relate to MS gameplay.

Unlikely but hey, eliminating the risk is more important Try a different keyboard if you have one and see how that goes too

Yea, I also tried to hook up another keyboard, but I don't have another available USB keyboard with me. T.T

Yikes, never had that problem so haven't had to deal with it... It's not one of those USB-powered bluetooth crap is it?

Nope, it's actually a basic functions Dell keyboard. Nothing special about it. It says it's a HID Keyboard Device, but I'm not sure if that's the name, probably not though. o_o

That exact thing happens to me, annoys me so much. I always just end up restarting the comp. But once I stuck it out and kept pressing random keys and it worked again, so the combination for disabling is probably the same as enabling it.

mueh, thats one of the reason why I use macs, cuz nothing seems to go wrong apart from the fact that thermal paste smudges everywhere after about a year or two of average-hard use I really dont know... keyboards... hmmm

Haha, guess I'm not the only one. I feel your pain, but I just try to undo this problem with keystroke combinations instead of restarting the computer since this usually happens in the worst times, if ya know what I mean...

happened at a mate's house once, I was showing him wolf spiders when they first came out trying to entice him to train with me there... and his kboard failed and I died :/ But dying's a pretty common thing to me seeing my half broken copper wires... Telecom wont fix it

You should get new a new one if you can. o_o Well that sucks for your mate. Thanks for the help you offered (this goes for everyone else), I guess I'll have to bear with this problem until someone can help me with a solution or something. =/
