| I've done this a few times. This isn't for my sympathy, criticize me if you want. Two weeks ago, my friend and I were talking being happy and funny, chatting. like normal. This is a friend that I've known for several months on Maplestory. Not someone for a few weeks. He has helped me many times in holding stuff for merchanting, drop trading, and give-back drop-game. This is a great friend that I've been merchant buddies since a day into knowing him. I helped him, he helped me. It was cool. But that started to end yesterday, the day my punishment by not going on the computer by my parents ended. I logged onto maple and my friend welcomed me with open arms. I was just as excited, considering that I was finally allowed to go on Basil and Maplestory once again. But, my friend started asking me about if I wanted to scam with him. He said that he had made almost 100mil by scamming for the last two weeks. I said no and told him that merchanting gave me probably just as money as scamming. He wasn't angry or anything, he said it was fine and had another scamming partner anyway and it was cool I didn't want to scam with him. He told me that his friend, the scamming partner, forced him into it, and now he couldn't get out. That's cool I guess, I thought as he explained the situation to me. Later that night, I asked him if he could hold my maple shield, for my storage was full and my and before I got grounded I had deleted my storage warrior to make space. And because I sold all my stuff that I needed. He said, okay why not, and told me that he promised he wouldn't do anything like he says each time. I was like alright thanks and logged off. Tommorow, I would get the maple shield back and sell it. When I got on today he was not on like he usually is. Only, 2 o' clock, so it was fine. I log on now, 9 o' clock, still not here. I'm worried he stole it even though his character is still on my buddy list. Just something seems odd. I'm not too angry, for it is only 20 million mesos. I believe my friend lost his way from scamming and he decided that it was fine to turn on his former best Maple friend. This game corrupted his mind, making him think that a friendship is worth less than a dumb game. I lost trust in people acturally, since this has happened a few times before. Don't trust people that you might never see again, that is my wisdom. Sure, tell me the usual that is on "I got SCAMMED D:" threads, or the "OMG --------- IS A SCAMMER/HACKER!" I really don't care. Because I'm just trying to tell someone about my day and how stupid I feel for trusting someone but it doesn't matter. You guys will just flame the throw up out of me, until I'm completely disgusted and go to bed. Sorry for the wall of text. |
