best weapon for paladin?

what would be the best weapon for a paladin meaning in 4th job. you guys are prolly gonna say i'm not gonna get to 4th job wut not i know but i like setting goals out of my reach and i might not even start this character because i'm busy with my cleric. i want to know what would the best weapon be for a paladin What i know is that 2h swords r the beastzorz but i'm really interested in 2h blunt weapons because they r rlly cool however i have heard that 1h blunt + atk shield is better. also would 1h sword + atk shield b better..... n i had read the weapon guide n the page guide in the page section but i need more help plus warriors r so confusing with the acc, dex, and the dexless things gives me a headache so what weapon? i heard that skull thing 1h mace was the best the last mace

There is no "best weapon." Pick your own to suit the way you play.

i'd worry more about weapons.. when i'm 10 lvls awy from a major upgrade... come back to use when you reach 63 or something. the best weapon is based on preference. you might like the timeless claymore or timeless flame or timeless carabella or crushed skull.. or a morningstar... just figure out what you like.. in training, and when you reach lvll 60-63, come back and tell us specifically what you prefer.

Doesn't matter after LV 30 Holy Hammer. You could use a LV 10 sword and train lol.

Blunt wep would be best, because blast isn't a stab, even though it looks like it. Still has the same 2/3 swing ratio, so you'd do more damage in the long run. As for, 1 or twohanded, it'd depend on if you have a godly atk shield.

Crush Skull RAWR. And for HH i would think a faster sword would be better :O unless a lonsword has 4 speed.

In pure DPS, Lunchbox > Dragon Carabella > Sparta = Crushed Skull = Dragon Claymore > other 2h weapons Obviously not everyone can get a Lunchbox though since they were an event-untradeable equip. And at the rarity of end-game weapons, it depends what happens to be available to you & how lucky you get with scrolls. However since the Crushed Skull is better than any other Mace, and worse than level 110/120 swords, it's probably a safe bet to go sword. Oh, and 1h sword GM scrolls still exist - so it's much more feasible to get your hands on a literally perfect sword (135+ Carabella for example). With about 1 in 4500 odds of that happening with 30%s, it's safe to say you're not gonna see a Crushed Skull like that any time soon.

On topic, it would be a 1h + shield combo. The best 1h sword currently out is the lunchbox, but you can't get that since it was from an event. The best 1hbw is the crushed skull, and some people claim that this weapon makes the bw path better than sword, since it is a level 120 weapon, with higher potential attack than any other bw and sword readily available. Of course, when reverse and timeless weapons start popping up, this may all change. A lot of people now go with a red katana + attack shield. @above, can you give the source/calculations for this? I'm extremely happy if my crushed skull gives me the third best possible dps out of sword/bw 8D
