Their wry comedy, the delusion that they're entitled to acknowledgment, plagues us all, I am sure. They have no regard for our rules, and when disposed of always find their way back with the assumption they're welcome. That being said, once suspended, they certainly aren't opposed to risking another suspension for the sake of wasting our time once more. Read this If you are suspended, BasilMarket will set a cookie on your computer. This cookie will not allow you to post on any other accounts until the original suspension ends. If you try to remove this cookie, it will regenerate. I have already submitted the suggestion to Mr. Basil. I would also like to hear what the users of BasilMarket think. tl, dr I have a method of stopping users, namely trolls, from posting with other accounts indefinitely. Thoughts? "A regenerating cookie is a virus/intrusive" The setcookie function was created to set cookies in the case that one is absent. What I mean is, any website that utilizes cookies also uses regenerating cookies. This cookie uses an if statement, and won't always deploy. By tweaking it a little, it will ensure that this cookie will always deploy if necessary. Just like any other website. What is a cookie A cookie has the following: A name: This is how the PHP later identifies it. One string of data : A string is any word or phrase between quotations or double quotations. "This is a string." An expiry date: A date converted to seconds, I believe. A domain: www .basilmarket.com All together now: setcookie("name", "value", "500", "www. basilmarket.com" Does that look like a trojan? The chance of a cookie somehow damaging your computer is exactly 1,700 times less likely than this thread damaging your computer. "I can just delete the cookie The PHP constantly checks up on the cookie. If it disappears, the script takes it from the top; the setcookie() function. "I can change my IP So can I. Ctrl+f "IP." Notice that it is absent from the main body of the thread. "But you said this would end trolling" link "I can block cookies" Parts of BasilMarket will not load. "You can't make an undeletable cookie!" No, I can make an infinite loop that checks to see if the cookie exists, and set a new cookie in the case that it does not.

Nice vocabulary. BTW trolling isn't too bad of an issue in basil, it's actually kind of funny to see how long it lasts before mods suspend them. About the poll: I like how the only vote so far that agrees with this poll was your own.

" users who are suspended will be unable to post until the time specified by a moderator passes." Unless I'm missing something here, isn't that what already happens when you get suspended by a mod?

rod7 said: "Obvious troll is an obvious troll. Edit:aya" Firstly, it's 'obivious troll is obvious'. And secondly, regardless that you got it wrong, it wasn't even close to being funny. For people who couldn't understand him: "More should be done against people who break the rules. They have no respect for our rules and should be punished more severely. Moderators and Mr Basil should rethink the concept of suspensions. I want some insight as to what you all think about idiots who break rules. I've PM'd Mr Basil about it, just wanting your opinions now."
