I'm thinking about making a gunslinger? I know they are generally weak but are they fun? Do you need to be funded to make one?

i say u need to be funded. I just made 1 yesterday.... lvl 20.. DMG sucks... like 20-154 my range. But now i'm funded, i got 9dex shoes (lvl 26) 10dex bamboo hat, 10str 5 slots robe and 350m to slurge

You don't need to be funded unless you are ridiculously anal retentive about damage. And frankly, before level 60 unless you are running godly neigh-unto-perfection equips it won't make much of a damage difference between you and an unfunded slinger anyhow. And most of those sort don't last long as slingers anyhow. Just 100% scroll some of your guns (past 30) and same for equips, if you even bother with that. I wouldn't seriously worry about trying to scroll a gun until 64 (cannon shooter) or 70 (abyss) at the earliest. And gun scrolls compared to scrolls for some other classes are actually not that ungodly expensive yet. That aside. YES! They are a terribly fun class if you just like skills to play around with. Well, at least I certainly thought so, different people, different opinions and all that shiz, ne? The speed and mobility they get at such early levels can keep one amused for a very long time if you like that sort of thing. And maybe I'm just the only crazy one out there that dis this, but I laughed so much through my first few levels of having blank shot, simply because I thought the animation with the little shroom on a flag was hilarious, and garnered so many F6's from people in CPQ.

yes they are a very fun class! its so fun shooting things, recoiling, and learning how to use wings. double shot with booster even sometimes looks like a bows hurricane :D you like never get bored with training, but unfortunately, yes they are weak. On the plus side, once you reach third job, you do insane damage. Before burst shot (lvl 70 skill) i was doing around 1.75k with double shot. When I hit 70 and put one point into burst, I was doing like 3.5k damage, and every 3 points into the skill, I do like 500 more damage. Its insane...

Extremely Fun, and it depends on the funding issue, if your worried about damage (like meh T_T) then yes if not then no worries.

The biggest misconception of all, "they are generally weak," is actually so far from the truth, its funny. They can actually out damage hermits that are a higher lvl than them!

Well that can be argued. Gunslingers get some pretty decent %/hour compared to some other classes for not as much effort (Coughcough* spamming IS on a sniping platform*Coughcough*). But wings/recoil is just funsauce :D Though if you get wings/recoil in the 30's, you'll be extremely weak.

I don't think they are weak, my strless gunslinger out damages sins of the same level yeah I'm a little more funded but still, the speed + my dmg will out damage the sings I am around . fun class I found it funner then my sin.
