Despite the list on the hidden notice not including ZHelms they do work, along with any item labeled with the Scissor of Karma bit.

And who is to say Nexon will allow zhelms to be tradable in a shop? There's always a catch with something. My bet is you won't be able to put zhelm in shop/mts/bank to transfer.
