Why did we waste a patch?

As you all know, the anni event was patch v.0.70. We recently had it extended, which thus made it 0.71. NOW, today @ midnight, they are changing it to 0.71. Why did they change 0.71? Say what you think. What I think is that there are only a set amount of things they are giving, and had to skip a patch. the nxt patch is elin forest and time temple, and after that is mu lung gym. after that, we get KoC, then maker skill. What or why do YOU think its happening? P.S i found out that, as many know, vs.0.73 is during July 28th, from 2 different sources of info (not just exp curve extension)

Something went horribly wrong, I'm guessing Chuck Norris didn't want them to release this stuff just yet, because he was still having fun being the only KoC in GMS...?

Tonight's update in to V72. Last weeks update (V71) was to extend the anniversary events so we wouldn't go a whole week without any events.
