Damage of Brandish with axe

I hear that, on a stab, axes do 80% damage, while axe do 100% on slash. I'm wondering how much this affects Brandish, as Brandish is a Slash then stab. How is the damage lost calculated on the stab bit? is it: Damage range 100-101 (just for argument sake) he does 260 damage on the slash, then 240 damage on the stab; or damage range 100-101 he does 260 damage on the slash, then 208 on the stab Differences? 100 x 2.6, then 100 x (2.6-.2) or is it 100 x 2.6, then 100 x 0.8 x 2.6 P.S GUYS! Don't turn this into a flame war/argument about who is better. The question has been answered, moderator please close the thread

its actually around 104/74 for axes and 100/100 for swords. Let's say for argument's sake a sword user and an axe user had a damage range of 100-200. Average attack: 150. Brandish attacks with 260% at max. Average brandish for sword user: 390/390 Total: 780 damage Average brandish for axe user: 406/289 Total: 695 damage Which is why axe-users need more total attack from their weapon setup to compete with an equally-funded sword user. (which, thanks to cheaper weapons/scrolls is totally doable). << forgot to mention axe-users often have to also compensate for slower speeds, which isn't as easy to do :/

I dunno.. me and an axe user had the same weapon and setup at level 80 and on V/Hoodoos, my max was about 7.5-8K with warrior elix... his was 10K. He also had 71 less base dex than me but still.... Our weps were same attack, now on the contrary his low was also about 4-5K where as mine was like 6K... I dont know why everyone is such a damage hoe about their max damage.... Great you can one shot a hime... once an hour... I go for MIN dmg...

So um, if it is 104% for slash and 74% for stab, will it be: 100 x 1.04 x 2.6, then 100 x .74 x 2.6 or 100 x (2.6+.04), then 100 x (2.6-.16) Assuming a damage range of 100-101, where 100 is hit every single time. (just for arguments sake)

its MULTIPLIERS... so youll do 104 x 2.6 and 74 * 2.6

if they had a damage range of 100-101: Axe-user brandish: (100 * .74 * 2.6) / (100 * 1.04 * 2.6) = 192/270 Sword-user brandish: (100 * 1 * 2.6) / (100 * 1 * 2.6) = 260/260 first parenthesis is the stab, second is the slash.

All I have to say is, I am an axe user and people make it seem like I made a huge mistake. Then I start to attack and they can't keep up. If we are weaker, it isn't going to stand out as much as people think. For me, its just motivation to be that much better. I gotta get out there and Rep for the Axe Users. axe users have 2 detriments: slow attack speed and lower brandish multipliers. even if they surmount one with a higher weapon attack, they still have to deal with the other. not saying swords are always > axe users, its just far easier to make a great sword hero than a great axe hero. oh, and the perfect sword hero will always do more DPM than the perfect axe hero.
