This works both ways. A lot of uneducated Christians also attack atheism IMO, the majority of the atheists that attack Christianity are not educated enough in the matter to have the right to attack. In otherwords, just sit down and shut up. Don't take this the wrong way, but let me give a secular example. When reading Animal Farm or the Great Gatsby for the first time, one may just think the novel has good entertainment value. One may not understand the significance of some of the events and question the authors motives. Parts of the novel may even contradict other parts until one does a detailed analysis of the novel. This same thing can be said about the bible. A lot (not all) of the Atheists that attack the bible haven't even read the entire book. The most research they done was probably from a google search or a youtube video. This is an unfair attack on the bible (or other religious texts for that matter) because they have not done the proper research. A lot of the sources aren't even valid. The bible's best source of research is itself in other verses. Man made supplements might have error but the bible doesn't. I respect everyone's beliefs and i respect the Atheists that have taken time to research the bible and then question. We are all taught to ask why and to question those we don't know/feel is right but i don't think it's fair for those to attack without knowledge. too long; did not read version: Do your research before flaming or you'll end up looking like a dumbpineapple

Let me say that I could not agree more. The reason I choose not to participate in these debates is because I know very little about religious literature and lore. Best to shut up rater than make an ass of oneself, amirite? -_-

Are you telling me that religion is not the relevant issue, and instead, the uneducated are causing conflict with the educated? Rather pathetic, that you need to spell it out for everyone. Edit: The bible, being written, then translated, then translated again, has several errors. It's best to read up on Greek history as well as reading the bible.

The different translations' inconsistencies are negligible. A lot of people claim the bible isn't valid due to how it's been translated over and over again but the inconsistencies are just grammatical things or mis-capitalization if anything.

There are a couple instances, namely in Corinthians, as you must have seen me explain before, where entire words have been mistranslated.

I'm sure there are some mistranslations because humans have error, but it doesn't take away from the meaning of the book. The most serious translation error i know is when some guy accidentally forgot to write the "not" in front of one of the commandments and it ended up saying "Thou shall murder". It was fixed almost instantly.

It was fixed almost instantly." English Greek Take a look at the last four words in the Greek version. Their translations are inconsistent with the English version.
