Why do Christians worship Jesus?

As far as I know, he never told them to worship him, why don't they worship god(the father) instead?

do you know God comes in 3 forms? He is the Holy Spirit, the Father, as well as Jesus. yeah i know its confusing but still that's what i learned.

Jesus taught of a far more personal God who is far too close to us to ever need worship. This is why he told us that the kingdom of the father was within each of us.

He's god's son, yet he's god? God is his own son? and his own father? Have you ever really thought about it? or do you just blindly follow faith? @ above, Jesus never tells you to worship him.

We're not a polytheistic religion, neither does the Bible imply that we need to be. It teaches three parts of God's nature so to speak, yet in a single God. The terms son and father are there so that humanity can better understand what would otherwise be impossible to understand from what we see in the world. It does not mean that God gave birth to Jesus, since God always was, in all three parts, and doesn't reproduce. It is merely a way to assist in explaining it.
