Need Help On Reducing Lag

Hey Maplers, I've been having troubles recently with lag. Usually near PQ areas and the FM. Are there any legit ways to reduce lag? My computer specs are 1010MB RAM and some family chipset video graphics card. I use verizon dsl which is pretty slow. I never had this problem 6 months ago. is it also the server problem? i play in windia. aznwhitefang

Defragment your hard drive? That's the only thing I can think of, unless you installed some memory-hogging program or unknowingly downloaded some viruses.

^what does defragment hafta do with lag? umm u can turn down ur video quality, turn down sound, turn off any other programs when ur playing. and it might be ur internet. also might depend on how far away you live from ms hq.

probly not ur comp might be the internet and since its summer more ppl play = more lag especially on weekends

It might have to do with your bandwidth. Did you go nuts in watching videos or downloading stuff lately?

Download gamebooster. I know this sounds like an advertisement but it reduced my lag. I can actually go to ch.1 KC and not lag

Run maple alone and with nothing else.
