Can you smega from Maple Island?

If I smega from Maple Island, can the rest of the players outside of Maple Island see my smega? Sorry for the silly question, but I just want to be sure.

If you can smega there, then it would be seen outside of Maple Island too since you can see smegas from outside Maple Island when you are on Maple Island.
