lp757the mods are deleting everything that puts them in a bad light, and it seems like socialism. theyre trying to suppress our complaints so they can have their power trip, even though all it is is being a mod of a maplestory forum... this thread is probably gonna get locked, even tho im not bypassing rules, and im probably gonna get a ban, but idc. the rule is not to talk about any players or mods, in particular. as long as im not giving names, it shouldnt be deleted or locked. im sick of all this crap. it seems like people are cool, but when they become mods, they think that everyone and everything is beneath them, and they try to make themselves look good, when really its the people of the forums that are making basil money. we give you hits on your website and put up with those stupid ads, so please mods, instead of just locking the forums that make you guys look bad, try to show your side of the story. your mod abilities shouldnt be used on constructive criticism, it should be used on all the trolls and spammers.

PanickaThis isn't constructive criticism. Actually as far as criticism threads go, this is probably the worst. And it's actually a Dictatorship. MrB is the dictator.

He made the website. We use it. If we're not comfortable with what the creator does with it, we can leave. As far as I'm concerned, Basil was never a country.

Call me a suck up, but this my freedom of speech :P. Not every mod abuse their power. Also, your assuming a lot of things, of how they think everyone is beneath them. Btw, we still have a freedom of speech, we can argue over things, your just pointing out all the negative stuff and highlighting on single events.

Complaints against the mods for either their posting, suspensions, or other actions should never be posted on the forums , they should be reported via the contact link at the bottom of Basilmarket. That's the way it has always been, period.

If it needs us to give our input, we'll give our side of the story and then lock the thread. What you don't understand is that most Basilers are in the stage of maturity where they blame authority for everythin insteada takin responsibility themselves, and if we allow a thread that unfairly attacks us to continue, guess what, the attacks will jus go on. oligarchy: a form of government where power effectively rests with a small elite segment of society distinguished by royal, wealth, family, military or religious hegemony. Key difference is that people don't become mods based on money, relation, religion, or military service. We're essentially just "a form of government where power effectively rests with a small elite segment of society" -- but that pretty much describes every government ever. Even democracies if ya ask me. What would you prefer, for us to be biased against ourselves? To have a double standard where we'd suspend somebody for sayin "lp5757 sucks" yet not suspend for sayin "KazooTheBat sucks"? And link explains why threads are locked. You'd do good to read it. Edit: In this one case, I'll keep this open til you fully understand why we lock threads that attack us. So, any questions?

Well then... threads that should be removed from the beginning end up turning into a debate because people like yourself feel like they have to defend themselves. This is partially true, in some rare, barely-controversial cases, but the wiser decision is to just kill it right away... Or at the very least, lock stating that it should be taken up privately either via report or pm rather than debate things in public where fifty people can get all upset over something that should never have been on the forums to begin with. It may be damaging to your ego to not have your say in public, but it also saves messes like those you have already caused. Lastly, when a mod locks a thread, take it up with them before going against them and undoing their action. The whole reason you get yourself into all the messes you do, is because you barely collaborate with the other mods. Even my reply is of the nature to continue this thread in a direction in which it should have stopped, which is why it should have remained locked... and you should be mindful of replying to your PMs.

I don't care how things are run on this site, as I did not make it. I'm able to talk about what I want without getting suspended at all. People just like to push the rules to the limits then start whining when they get suspended. Man, enough of the mod threads already. If you want things to change, make a poll and do NOT insult or attack the mods. There's a huge gap between insulting and giving constructive criticism. Reporting ideas to Mr. Basil works as well.
