Problems starting up MapleStory (EMS)

Recently, a new problem occured in Europe MapleStory. When you try to open the game, a screen pops up and tells that the file isn't accessible. If I look in my EMS map, the MapleStroy file is gone, but the HackShield, Patcher, etc files are still there. Now, I've deleted and re-installed MapleStory for about 5 times now, from different websites, in different ways, but I still can't start the game. After installing it from the website, it doesn't work at all, and if you double-click the Maple-icon, an installation is started, but afterwards, my virusscanner tells me it found a Trojan Horse. Any way this can be solved? It has nothing to do with virusscanners and firewalls, that's sure.

Well, it seems that your virus scanner is finding and deleting the HackShield's program and Maplestory. Hackshield is usually scanned by virus scanners and flagged as a trojan horse, even though it is not. Try to find a different virus scanner and see if that works.

Hmmm... Someone who knows about computers (my nephew), told me that Norman was a good virusscanner, so I'm not gonna delete it. I will try if I can go into my scanner and tell him that MapleStory is allowed. Thanks for your help!

For north american maplestory, the same thing happened to me one day with MacAfee. I had to swith antivirus because it kept deleting Maplestory.exe.

I have the exact same thing. I downloaded EMS and my antivirus said it found a Trojan Horse. I also have Norman as a virus scanner. Is there any way I can download EMS without having to switch virus scanners?

Someone on the Dutch fora told me I have to put off my scanner while downloading and starting the game, but I don't know how wise that is...
