I've been thinking, with a somewhat shortage of mods a good way for us to help patrol (besides reporting), would to have a youtube type way of of rating a users post (thumbs up thumbs down) this would help distinguish helpful posts (high number of thumbs up) from useless spam/trolling (high number of thumbs down,when reaching 6 post is deleted) (it can go the same with whole threads) this is just a quick simple idea yes i know, it would be hard to add,but it's just an idea. if this idea or something similar is already talked about,just let me know.

People might abuse it by giving a large number of thumbs down to a post.

well i like the rating there. it would be nice here. but without the spam option. using it to see if threads are useless. i wouldn't like. we got the poles. and not everybody will always be into the same as others. some find it awesome and some find it dumb. just as long as the conversation doesn't get out of hand. just my opinion. peace. gregg

It's a good idea, but i usually get a lot of minus from that. Depending on what avatar i use, that is.

Plus points is a good idea, but with negative points you might get negative attention and more people "defame" you just because some kid put you a minus point, or you might get minus just because you are debating with someone else with different opinion. And if it's not obvious enough, no post should be deleted just by minus points. Maybe a mod alert after enough minus points, but no post deletion, hide, or gray-outs.

Not a great idea. Abuse is so easy. Also, we have a large amount of mods ATM.
