'Slinger or Xbow

I like the strategic style both offer, but I just need to know a few things. Price - Scrolls, weps, pots, etc. WHO IS COSTLIER I know DPM I know both get partied alot, as a damager or SE mule I mainly wanna know play styles, and leveling speed. I like slinger's mobility but I would give it up easily for something better. EDIT: I have a new question to ask, who is better as your first unfunded character?

xbowman and corsairs train very similarly, the freeze w/ cooling/blizz and then destroy with strafe/cannon are almost identical o-o but xbows also have perice and corsairs have torp... but generally i think the styles are the same. cost wise, 7m for clean lvl 100 gun? T_T xbows win

More Parties: Xbow Less Pots: Xbow Cheaper Scrolls: Xbow Strategic Play (which one is easier to play and has more combos): Slinger DPM: Slinger Speed: Slinger Leveling Speed: Slinger Hell Levels: Slinger: 8x-10x Xbow: I dunno. I guess 5x-200? I prefer Slinger, pays off in the long run.

crossbowmen have more range then gunslingers do and rely heavily on critical hits to do damage and we have soul arrow so we don't need to worry about buying good bullets and stuff. Slingers are much more mobile I'd say though I lack any real experience with them but for sure xbows are cheaper

I'm torn mostly between Puppet + AE and wings + Recoil shot + Octopi

both their HP is similar, so, pot wise, are the same, as long as you learn to avoid hits. scroll wise, they're similar too. xbow scrolls/weps are a tad cheaper than gun scrolls/weps, but gun scrolls/weps are far more common, so they tie in that point the only question you have to ask yourself is "mob or single target training?" slingers/corsairs excel in single targets, while snipers/marksmen excel in mobbing (they are good 1vs1 too when they get 4th job, but not as good as corsairs)

D:>" Lol remember speed is also relative it's like comparing bow vs xbow (before the bow speed nerf) where bow>xbow in speed, and xbow>bow in power, so they would both balance you could get massive raw power only till 4th job, no matter the class you choose. IMO, make an xbow, i made a slinger and i couldn't make it past lvl 24 (missed crits and having a longer range, and i don't feel like buying bullets xD), but it's a biased opinion, so yea,

What I would do is get a weapon from each of them, maybe a level 20 weapon, and scroll it with the same % scrolls. Which ever turns out better, you play that class.
