How do mastery books work? can someone tell me everything about it? like how the TT book works? thx lol

you buy them or get them from monsters (tt10 and 20 are zakum only, and tt30 is from horntail) and each one has a certain success rate of raising the max skill level by 10 or so. If it fails, then the book disappears. EDIT: erm, i mean, the book disappears after use, whether successful or not.

There are skill books and there are mastery books. Skill Books give you the actual skill so you can add points to it and use it. Mastery Books raise the Mastery level of the skill. Mastery Book 20s have a 70% success rate and Mastery Book 30s have a 50% success rate.

When you get to 4th job, how you get some of your skills and how you distribute your Skill Points is a little different. You basically have to earn those skills in a way. Some skills like Triple Throw aren't available during advancement. You have to get a it from a monster or from doing a series of quest to get the Skillbook of that skill. In this case, you need to kill Zakum to get TT10. Now the mastery level of your skill is max at 10 - meaning you cannot add anymore points than that. If you want to get it stronger, you must used a Mastery Book 20/30. It work like a scroll with a certain success rate. Also, you must have at least level 5 of that skill to used the MB20 and level 15 to used MB30.

I thought there were no mastery books and that skill books were called mastery books. So you use the skill book and you can start adding points to it? Does this mean that theres a TT10,TT20 and TT30 skill books? or is it just TT 10 skill book then u have to use TT20 and TT30 mastery books to max it?

TT10 is the Skill Book. TT20 and 30 are the Mastery Books.
