Shadow Meso Question

Since Shadow Meso says that it: Replaces MP with mesos and attacks enemies with the damage based on the amount of mesos thrown. Ignores the enemies' "weapon def. up" and "magic guard up." Does this mean that monsters which use that skill where they get hit 1's will get hit 10 - 12k damage when Shadow Meso is used regardless of the fact that they should get hit 1's?

I think I've tested it before and no. I think it just means even if monsters have high W. Def and/or buff with W. Def Up (not Super W. Def Up), you will still do the same damage with Shadow Mesos. I suggest only maxing it if you wanna go old-school and solo Pap without Apples (since maxed Shadow Mesos can hit over 10k at max, you can spam maxed Shadow Mesos to KB Pap). But yeah, most people go for maxed Darksight and maxed Web and just Apple their 1st Pap solo. xD

I personally use it to stop Skele from walking over me when I climb up a rope onto the upper plat. When I used to solo Himes, I used Web on the mob to 'freeze' them so I can rebuff (Lvl 1 = 5 secs, plenty time for SP+Haste+Booster). xD

That skill is dumb. I'd rather just use the mesos to buy pots.

hmmpf. Does Shadow Meso allow one to consistently hit 10K on pap, even though they can only hit around 8?
