Censor going too far?

For those who remember, yesterday Goatfry made a thread in the General section where he attempted to get '(B)ear Attack' to be used as a meme. For a little while, it worked. Now today I tried to post a comment that included the word '(B)ear' only to find out that it was a censored word. Now I can understand censoring names such as LL but something as common as (B)ear? Come on. Opinions? @Mods: Sorry for 'bypassing the filter'.
