Does Anyone Really Care About Gay Rights?

Anyone remember Miss California? Yeah? Remember her comments on the Gay Marriage? How the media lambasted her for that? Well, everyday it seems, we hear about the newest celebrity endorsing Gay Marriage and Rights. But I can't help but wonder...do they really care? Or are they just trying to fit in to the new social standards and what has become expected from a liberal media? Right or wrong, your opinion aside, consider it...Are people just trying to avoid becoming the next Miss California or do you think there is a genuine interest? Edits Edit: Please stop taking my title literally, it's just expressing my frustration at how lots of people may claim interest, but at heart, do they really?
