i jailbroke my ipod too, its no big deal usually the ipod can be fixed but on occassion the jailbreaking software ruins the iphone forever... never heard of it ruining an ipod before but i wouldnt see how its entirely impossible, i think your friends will be ok considering it did that to me too and mines fine now i even jailbroke it after the restore and this time it worked

it also matters what OS he is running, its easier to do on a mac but i heard of certain programs giving issues on windows i personally used quickpwn which from what i hear is the best its the standard jailbreaking software and gives the standard pineapple instead of apple as the icon boot up after its completed

For the sake of the person below me, when I jailbroke my iTouch (long ago), for some reason a lot of space was taken up by like nothing. I checked and it said "Other." Also, every now and then, it would just blank out wouldn't turn back on until I charged it. One day, it just wouldn't turn on. I took it to the Apple store, they plugged it in to this thing, and it started working. No big. After that, I just restored it, 'cause jailbreaking wasn't really useful to me.

Quit being idiots and help the guy, I reported off topic comments. Yes, tell him to restore it. Bricking an Ipod isn't as bad as a PSP.

Does it looks like its bricked?
