So, I was training at Lower Ascent, when this hermit comes up to me, and asks me why I'm training there. He said I should train at Golems instead (by which I'm pretty sure he meant Forest of Golem) because: theres always a mob of 6 wr dont have many mobs wr have like 3x the hp your weak

90% of Maple's Hermit population has less of a brain than the cows in someone's farm. I hope to be part of the 10% that has one.

Why is there a need to make this thread? No offense to you, but i saw your damage range in the thread and I'm assuming the max you hit with powerstrike is 3k on a slash, so he probably just thought you weren't efficiently training there, thats all. Theres no need to call people names for making observations.

It's just common sense really and besides,I'd sooner read a thread like this than another one of those x vs y vs z threads. :P

I'll assume you train at skeles, what would you do if all the channels were full and there was a lvl 94 ranger hogging a channel. I'm sure you would advise them to move to a new spot wouldn't you. Its a free country he can train there if he wants, but it's not right to victimize the hermit for making a mere suggestion.

I've switched to a Karstan, and it's scrolled, but I use Fury. Hit's anywhere from 800-1800ish. Even if I wasn't training there as efficiently as I could, it's still better than FoG, except in the money-making part. Pft, how could I not train there efficiently, as opposed to him, having to kill them one at a time. What names? He was the one who called me stupid. Edit: I'm not trying to victimize him, I just found it interesting that he would recommend FoG over Windraiders. The reason I said hermit, because he is a hermit. It had nothing to do with him being one. It would also be improper to announce his IGN over this forum.

Well the example doesn't work since there are Mini-Dungeons now, plus,I don't even train anymore lol,but I'll look past that. If there was a level 94 Ranger on a Skele map and I can't find a map for myself,I'd first ask him if he can even survive a hit/if he has a party, the first question will probably be a "no" and if he has a party, well I'll just leave. :P If he's just sniping 1-2 platforms,I'd ask if I could share the map and kill the other spots, making more spawn for him at the same time,if he has a brain,he would accept my offer. But either way,if he doesn't want me to stay,I'd just leave and that's it.

You said "I wonder were maplers get these things..." like the sin was saying the most rediculous thing in the world. BTW 800x6<7000x1 and attacking speeds...

It's not the most rediculous thing in the world, but it's quite inaccurate. Also, there's just as much a chance to hit the minimum as there is the maximum, so I'm not going to be consistantly hitting 800s. And, how would you even know his damage? I never once mentioned it.

I'm just making an assumption lmao. Assuming a hermit would be able to hit 3.5kx2 doesn't seem rediculous does it? Also, I have a 65 spearman which I am actually training now to get to DK! Can't wait for fury! On topic though we just gotta all face that on maps where mobility is a large factor and hermits are still in their prime, we just can't win. On flat maps with mobs (ie. Himes) us DK's pwn hermits. Woot.

FoG is good for the people who can't hit high damage. This guy was trying to help you out. Don't be obnoxious.

First off,he was talking about the FoG vs Windraider exp,it's quite obvious that Windraiders give better exp regardless of the exp ratio. o.O Secondly,as someone who has experience with a pretty darn well funded Assassin,7k damage is a ridiculous number. It's a fact that Dexless Hermits can hit very high, the max damage around 70 could be like 8k-9k,but you need to take into consideration their extremely low stability,I'd put their damage at a 50% Mastery or so to be honest,I can hit anywhere from 3.1k with both Stars to 6.6k. To make things "fair",Cookie's damage should be in the middle,so 1300*6=7800 damage, the Hermit's,let's say he can top 9k,average of 4.5k per shot. 7.8k>4.5k?

Considering he said anywhere from 800-1800, the least you could do is use the median since that would be MUCH more correct than taking the lowest damage. Also, Im pretty sure 1300*6 > 7000*1.
