Clerics: The Real Story

Now, today I've noticed a lot of flame wars about Clerics and their status in parties. Yes, it is true, Clerics are the best Party class in Maple. No, not all Clerics are Party Clerics, and I think that's awesome. Yes, we have skills such as Heal, Bless, Invincible, Holy Symbol, Resurection, and Dispel that really help out others. Now, let me say, I love being a Cleric. I love helping people out. That's why I made one. But I don't like it when others are ungrateful for the help we provide. We are in your party to keep you alive and make you stronger, and we can heal and such, but that doesn't mean that you never have to use HP potions ever again. You cannot blame us if you die because you weren't near the Cleric when he/she was healing. We like to help, but we can't do it all. ./end discussion.

This has been discussed a billion times before. It won't work and those people chances are they don't use Basil.

Well said. And just because Clerics don't heal doesn't mean they should have made a different class.. they just should have gone Solo and not partied when parties expect heal and buffs

Awesome! To add.. Clerics are MEANT to heal.. but that doesnt mean if you die its their fault. Every person including clerics should have emergency potions. Also.. they should not chase them selves after you to buff. You can come and get it. For example.. If your thirsty..you go to the sink and fill up a cup... the sink doesnt come to you.

wat i find that helps is that i tell the party to either stick together in range, or that to watch their health and have hp pots on hand ive never had problems and i think as long as you tell them (disclaimer :P) they shouldnt have any reason to flame you after if they do die

I know, I dislike it when people in your party think they should just stop picking up potions in cpq, and walk up to me, not saying anything, and expecting me to just stop and heal them every second of the pq. -.- Even my own friends tried doing that >.> I ended up having to practically teach them not ask me to heal, and to use their own pots.
