Recently I quoted this message in a thread with a reply to his ignorance. I will leave the name of the person out of this to avoid a bigger conflict. Anonymous said: "Continue xAutumnBliss this way you can conserve mesos for pot usage. When my Priest was still a Cleric back in old days, and whenever I PQ'ed I was too bossed around to Heal, Bless, etc but I usually tell people if you have potions then effing use them, whats the point on spending your money to have someone else do your lazy work for you." I replied with: FlameOfDark said: " Its idiots like you who make the pq/training experience so much more stressful" Later on I received this PM. Anonymous said: " Jun 10, 12:31am From me to you, choke on it, cause no one is a slave to Maple Story. So if it's a idiot like me who makes a PQ'ing experience for such a disgrace like you then so be it, I rather be killed by a snail then be killed trying to defend you when you know damn well you have potions to yourself. Be your own ******* Cleric / Priest / Bishop and don't depend on others." I understand that I may have sparked a conflict in this situation and I apologize for that part, but I want to know you guy's opinions. Isnt a cleric who refuses to heal, buff and participate a real disturbance when trying to PQ or train.

No, it's another cleric who's tired of people pushing them to be a heal slave. People asking for a buff when it runs out is fine, but acting like you can't partially heal yourself is fustrating.

If your not there to attack, and your not healing then what are you besides a freeloader trying to make the rest of the party leech you. If we wanted to use up our pots you wouldnt be in our party. That is if it werent for HS, some priests even refuse to get their lazy butts up to HS the rest of the party at newties and make you walk to them. That just pisses me off.

zero2g 06/10/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
well... as a priest myself... i heal regurally... or what i call put a weight on the heal button and watch tv... But seriously... when you got a map as big as kerning city... your party spread around and you're the only healer... when you have to teleport from one end to the other just to heal and give buff gets frustrating...

A Cleric is meant to support and be supported in return, not abused and used like some rag and thrown out when they refuse to assist you. Iif you want a good Cleric know that you need to build a bond with them because Clerics are powerful people believe it or not. They can make all the difference in how and where you train the rate you level up at etc and if you do build a bond with them it's most likely you'll be asked to join them/they'll join you. My words too "soft" but that's how it is. If you don't treat your Supporter with respect then what do you expect in return? Don't abuse such an extremely bountiful privilege.

Don't always rely on clerics. He has the right to tell you to use your own potions. What if he lagged and you didn't pot, are you gonna blame it on him? =/ When you know you're gonna die on the next hit, you should heal yourself. Don't expect them to do everything, just because they're a support class.
Rapps 06/10/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
uhh, clerics are a class DESIGNED to be supportive. If he's refusing to be supportive, he's an idiot and needs to make a new char. The reality is, some people will complain for heal/buffs etc, welcome to the real world. The important thing to remember is, some of us are grateful and polite. And I can't believe his arguement. He won't heal because we already have pots..? When I was a sader, I burned pots like NO tomorrow, I was going broke just by training. I always looked for priests to train with TO SAVE MONEY. What an ignorant person.

Think about it. ALL mages are terrible bossers. Most AMs aren't wanted, but we invite Bishops just for your ressurect/heal/dispel, almost nothing more. If we wanted to use our potions, we would, but we invite you to heal for us. If you don't, then there is no real place for you in our party, we'd be glad to invite someone more useful. I may sound ignorant, but I have a Priest of my own. Our place is to just heal and buff, we should be grateful we HAVE heal, without it, we would never get into bosses or training. Without Heal, as said, you're practically just leeching.

As awesome as we are, we have to worry about not dying ourselves before we go and help out everyone else.

CsengerWhy put plurals in your thread title?

Well, heal is designed to be used to heal the party, but not to the point where the person will fully rely on the cleric, and blame the cleric if they die. If I'm in a PQ, I'll spam heal all right, but I'm going to spam heal the leader of the party. If you don't stay by the cleric, then it's your own fault. If you can't survive getting hit by the boss monster, you shouldn't even be doing that PQ. Like the first person said, asking for buffs is fine, but saying "bless" every thirty seconds is overdoing it. Unless, of course, bless only lasts thirty seconds. But then it'd be pointless to have anyways. So, in summary, rely on the cleric, but not to the point of foolishness.
chaoskid00 Jun 10 2009 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
chaoskid00If a cleric refuses to heal, just because they rather fight, you can say good-bye to the party. The main reason clerics are in the party in the first place is to heal and buff. I agree that some people take heal too far, and rely on it too much and end up dying and blaming it on the cleric, but I also know clerics who think they are a strong attacking class and refuse to really heal anyone. If you die, it is never the cleric's fault. My only suggestion when in a annoying party as a cleric, is to just continue the PQ and leave after.
