(Wow, my entire post was erased because it contained the word c-u-m [I used the word "accu-mulated' -hyphen]. Well, that's life.) I am always trying to improve, sometimes a bit too soon after doing so not a while ago. This time, though, I think I'ma settle after (hopefully) spending all my money. Atm, I'm trying to buy/scroll my "endgame" bow (quasi-final bow, because one would always want a better weapon, no?). So... The other day in the FM, I saw a 114/5 Blue Metus listed at 700m, open to offers. I said 250m, but left my IGN saying I wanted to talk it over. Today, checking out Khaini bow auctions here on Basil for the first time in a long time, I saw, much to my surprise and delight, a 115/3 Golden Nisrock being auctioned for 450m. Auction's ending soon, but no one's bid yet so perhaps I'll contact the seller in-game. Finally, as I scoured the FM over the last month looking for deals, I've bought 12 - more or less - Meti (Red and Blue) and a 95 clean White Nisrock. So, I want to pick the brains of my fellow Bowmen in regard to my situation. Should I try for the 114/5 Blue (which is worth about 450-500m?), or the 115/3 Golden Nisrock (the price seems fair, IMO). Or, should I attempt to mass scroll my stock of Meti/Nisrock? Other factors to take into the equation are : I would be going broke with any option I pursue (which is OK with me), I have 95 total STR (68 base), Golden Nisrock oozes sexiness, 30% bow scrolls in Khaini are (and should be bought for no higher than) 10-11m, I'd probably have to sell some of my current equips to scrounge up the mesos for any option (prob sell my 10 ATK WG, 3/9 PAC, 108/6 Blue Metus). (I guess I can MTS to replace/upgrade my WG or PAC if I sell'em, so those aren't a worry for me.) Thanks in advance, Basil Bowmen. Bring to me your wise ponderings and calculated ruminations! Or just vote.

i'd buy/scroll the nisrock, but that's me after 120, with the replacement of strafe with hurricane, and it's consecuent speed lock, makes the 15 lvls that you're away from 4th job look insignificant compared to the ripoff you might have to pay for extra shooting speed you will hardly use for 80 lvls i'm in favor of self-scrolled weapons, but the price of bow scrolls, clean bows and scaryness of 30% scrolls make me doubt about hat. if you have enough money for the nisrock, go for it. only thing i'm not sure about, is the price. IMO, i wouldn't pay more than 250m for a weapon, but being a sniper i can get a 120-121 atk xbow with that much, so wait for other rangers/BMs to comment about the price other upgrade you might consider is the acquisition of a MoN. the 10 ATK, HP, speed, jump and same stats as a deputy (when average) make it an useful asset i'd sell the 108 blue metus and the rest of the clean bows you got, then the PAC to get the nisrock. i wouldn't sell the 10 ATK WGs, unless you plan to get 11+ ATK SCGs/BWGs almost inmediately EDIT: don't take my post for granted, i'm a sniper lol, i'm used to normal speed xbows and i barely know about how fast speed (for rangers/BMs) works. i just look at the highest (and cheapest) w.atk weapon i can get my hands on xD

Go for the Nisrock. Hurricane, speed doesn't matter and scrolling it would take quite a while if you have rotten luck like me. say you had 12 95 atk nisrocks, bow scrolls are 13m and you have to land 4 30% 12 x 13 x 4 is 514m o.o so...Just buy the Nisrock :D EDIT : but thats of course IF the last bow were the one that succeeded. It might be the first one you scroll :] Its all luck

I'd self-scroll one. You could come out with way more ATK than you could've affourd if you just bought one.

I voted for the second option, but now that I think about it, the Blue Metus would be better if you could get anywhere near the same price for it (and you don't already have the STR neccesary for the Nisrock regardless). The 10 extra STR required by the Nisrock isn't covered by the 1 additional attack, so the blue metus is better, even ignoring the speed bonus.

I usually just outright buy my things because I have horrible, horrible luck with things of chance. Scrolling, mastery books...all = fail. So, I suggest the same for you naturally.

I had the same problem, and since we're both in Khaini, I'll tell you right now that anybody who scrolls a decent bow in our world keeps it for their own personal bowman. All the crap ones are the ones being sold in FM. The highest I could find the day I hit 100 was like a 106 nisrock. I tried to find a clean nisrock so I could scroll one myself, but apparently every other bowman is looking for clean (above average) nisrocks too so I couldn't find ANY. I had to settle to buying a white nisrock with average attack on MTS for about 1.5K NX. I scrolled it and it went from 95 to 117 att. I really think that specifically for our world, you should scroll your own bow. I can't imagine paying so much money for a 114 or 115 att when I myself only paid the 1.5K NX and 22M (2 30%s). Two more 30%s were given to me by a friend and I had previously been saving up 60% bow attacks for this purpose, which is why I only paid for 22M total. That white nisrock. I would definitely scroll it.

Most people won't be anywhere near that lucky. I say, if you have those two possible sales lined up and it's as hard finding one in Khaini as Haaazel says, then scoop up a prescrolled one while you can. |

Thanks for the input, guys. Well, it's almost a split between options 2 and 3 - I thought that there woulda been less votes in favor of self-scrolling, actually. I think I will try scrolling a couple bows (2-3). I'm not optimistic about it, but anything can happen. I will definitely (try to) contact the sellers of the aforementioned bows (still not sure which one I want to try for first, though, as you all made good points). Congrats on scrolling your own awesome Nisrock, Haaazel, but as Igfuad said, my chances are pretty slim of scrolling a bow as good as yours turned out. And Starbomba, I forgot about MoN...something that I definitely want. Don't see too many advertisements selling'em, though.

Go for the blue Metus. Be prepared to pay upwards of 600mil for it, though.

I'd go for the Nisrock honestly, selling good equipment for a single bow that might fail isn't a risk I'd like to take. If I were you I'd just buy one of the two bows and settle with it until stronger weapons are available: Timeless Reverse etc Keep your PAC and WG because by selling them I don't think you'll be helping yourself very much in the long run and you might not make enough money to get it all back. But that's just me. Go for the Metus/Nisrock.
