I plan on buying a laptop but which Operating System to choose from? To help pick one I need to know how well Maplestory works on the 2 newest systems. * How much issues/ problems does Vista have running Maplestory * Will l Windows 7 be able to run maplestory at all and how well do you think? I would like to get a laptop sooner then later, though it may look like I might have to wait until Windows 7 is out and wait to find out how it runs with Maplestory.

Windows 7 plays MS really well, and is all around a better operating system than vista and XP, however it is only in it's Release Candidate stage. It should hit the market in 2010

Windows 7 and it is available for retail sale on October 22, 2009. Means you can buy it at the store on that day.

I don't think you can buy a windows XP right now. Vista runs fine with Maplestory. Its just XP has a better graphics card in the motherdrive than Vista. Vista can't play the crazy graphics games unless you buy a seperate graphics card and install it. As for Windows 7 at this time I cannot confirm at this point of time because I don't have one. Sources : I have a Vista and a XP.

lol I like how there are no votes to WinXP even tho it has the fewest problems (didn't say it had none) Vista runs it but has it bugs (like the d/c when Zakum dies) all cuz it not made to run on vista (need to use a compatibility mode to work) Windows 7 is still in bete yet everyone wants maple to work for it, why would it GameGuard wouldnt work with it and im kinda sure HackShield is in the same boat. I know its old but since you asking which one runs maple better I'd have to say XP.

I have found an XP laptop which I have choosen to buy until I was asked more questions. I'm more then happy to get XP, with windows 7 coming out I would like to find out which is going to be best. (don't mind waiting if I have too) So far I don't think vista, from all the feedback I have been given.

Windows XP is best if your system is extremely old such as Pentium 3 or below with 512 MB of RAM or less. Windows Vista can run Maple alright but the performance may suffer some depending on your system. Windows 7 runs Maple extremely well on a Pentium 4 system with 1 GB of RAM or more. The performance on my Core 2 Duo laptop with integrated X3100 graphics is equal to Windows XP for instance.

Stick with XP... Less glitches. Vista has a number of bugs, like jrealdeal said. And noone knows how windows 7 will work...but I believe it will be buggy like vista at first.
