INT and M.Att affect Heal damage and recovery more than LUK, however LUK has a small factor in the calculation. HP does not affect it at all.

clerics need hp because they tend to train at higher lvl monsters. They want hp so that they dont get killed in one hit. If i were to train my cleric at a rlly high lvl monster that hit 1k dmg and i had no hp equips id be screwed. So basically Clerics=hp Wizards=Mp hp has apsolutly NOTHING to do with heal dmg

int, luk, magic, spell atk, monster lvl vs player lvl (and mdef), number of targets all independently. Hp is used when surviving is a problem.

Clerics using HP equips is an old, old tradition stemming from two sources: 1. The misconception that Hp affects heal damage or how much you heal. This may have been true back in beta, as the skill CLAIMS to be based on max hp, but this is no longer true now. 2. The desire to train without magic guard and without a DK. Back then, from level 70 on the only undead training spots were in Ludi Dungeon. Mp pots appropriate to high level mages were expensive at the time, so being able to train without magic guard was very desirable, and really still is. However, to do this, one needs more Hp than priests get on their own, as well as a fair bit of luck and skill. To make a long story short, the only reason you'd want Hp equips is if you were going to solo something dangerous without Magic Guard or Hyper Body using Heal as you main attack. If you choose to use Magic Guard, like so many other priests these days, then hp equips are no longer relevant. *glares at his own Hp equip collection rotting away in his inventory...*
