Yes only if he rants on to you about how smoking is bad otherwise no because smoking does alleviate stress :D

well, a pediatrician might go "DUN DEW DRAWGZ OR YEWLL DAI" to children and when they're not looking they flip out a cigarrette so yeah, I can see you're point

Smoking damages the body, if someone has smoking problems the doctor is obliged to treat his problem If he was a smoker himself, that would be considered hypocrite

I don't see it as a hypocrisy even if he tells you not to smoke. Of course he'll tell you not to smoke. He knows it's bad for him. He's not demanding you not to smoke but of course he would recommend it. Everybody has their own life of which they make their own choices and he's trying to save lives so yes, regardless of his own habit, he would promote nonsmoking.

It's ironic, but not hypocritica. The doctor would have to tell that you that smoking is danger and actually thinks that smoking isn't dangerous in order for the doctor to be a hypocrite.
