| Just started playing it this week. And I have to say, I'm honestly enjoying it more than I ever enjoyed Maple. Pros of Dragonica Vs MS: Graphics 3D but still side scrolling. I'm the type of person that gets dizzy/lost when I play games like WoW, but the format of this was surprisingly easy to handle. Just like MS, but you can move up and down the path a bit too. The graphics are pretty nice, and the skills, even for first job look really cool. 2. COMBO moves! You know like those combos and attacks you can do in a game like Supersmash Bros? Well, you get much greater versatility on Dragonica in terms of attacks (ie. Attack to make monsters fly into the air + attack for airborne monsters + attack to smash monsters downwards). Also, if you keep attacking and hitting things without stopping in between, then you get an exp multiplier while you attack. Even in first jobs, the skills are pretty cool and surprisingly high damaging if you perform them correctly 3. In-game interaction • Couples: You don't have to spend money to get married - becoming a couple with someone is easy, as long as they are the opposite gender. Then you get couple skills, including the ability to warp to your partner's map and a skill that increases your attacking speed. • PVP PVP PVP PVP! Where you use your skills and whack other players. 'Nuff said. Not as materialistic Not as market driven as Maplestory has become. First of all, equips are easy to get. You get a lot of them from quests and 1-4 at the end of missions. And they are comparatively easier to upgrade. Weapons that you can't equip or don't need can be dismantled and used to improve your existing equips. Secondly, the trade option in the game has a search option, like using an owl in FM, but with no NX cost. Lastly, if you kill the number of monsters in the bottom of your screen, you can get a box with a decent prize ie. an similar level weapon. Don't need to spend money Yes, MS is free to play too. But the characters are a LOT more customizable for free at the begining of Dragonica when you create them (ie many different hair and face/eyes colors and styles). Also, you have an option you can turn on and off where you automatically pick up money and item drops. You also get some free cash items throughout the game by opening up giftboxes given to you by an NPC. Lastly, you get a free complete skill reset at level 15 and more later on. Which means you can add whatever skills you want and test them all out and then reset the points completely and only add the skills you like Cons of Dragonica Vs MS: If you don't have a good internet connection/computer, Dragonica will probably lag for you. You can try turning the settings to low on the menu -> options, and start in the less populated of the two servers, but regardless, it takes more to run than MS. Pots Monsters drop instant heal pots, but the NPCs sell pots that heal over 10 seconds. This sucks if you are dying and need to heal immediately. Also, when you get mobbed by |
